The Story
This 5-Pin YS Converter/N Sync Connector from Sea & Sea is designed for use with Nikon MDX and RDX series underwater DSLR camera housings equipped with accessory ports. It provides a hard-wired 5-pin sync cord connection, enabling the attachment of a YS Converter/N for connecting an external strobe flash (converter and strobe sold separately). It also includes an O-ring for a watertight seal.
Remove the connector cap from the housing using the supplied attachment tool. Attach the 5-pin connector to the cable on the YS converter/N and insert it through the housing's accessory port. Next, from inside the housing, insert the O-ring into the groove on the 5-pin connector. Now attach the plug on the sync connector to the 5-pin unit and mount the other end of the sync connector to the camera's accessory shoe. Finally, outside the housing, attach a sync cord to the YS converter/N and attach your external strobe.
